Angie Pastor - “I Hope You Know” [2024]
On the heels of her playlist-topping debut jazz EP, singer-songwriter Angie Pastor emerges into the spotlight with a highly vulnerable collection of original compositions.
Throughout the record, the stages of the relationship are told in a non-linear fashion, pulling from moments throughout Angie's life that ultimately arrive at a place of inner peace.
A sage storyteller echoing the penmanship of Jodi Mitchell, Pastor tells a story of personal growth and maturation through a faltering relationship. Along the way, she finds herself in a place of resolve and compassion.
Angie explains, "With 'I Hope You Know', I arrived at a message: maybe I can't fix this situation, maybe we'll never be friends or be in each other's life again, but I will give you love regardless of that."
"This album was my way of saying that even though I don't think we were a very good match, I still love who he is as a person and he will always be a part of my life and this story."
